7/9/04 Vendor Space Still Available For Immediate Release Contact: Dave Johnson/ dave@swnm.com /505 544-3483 (Deming)--Are you a vendor? Are you handy with crafts, maybe have a retail business you would like to promote during the duck race, or perhaps you are a food vendor. It's not too late to be part of the 2004 25th Annual Great American Duck Race, August 26th-29th. Vendor Quacker Ginger Smith says "applications will be accepted as long as space is available, even though the official deadline has passed." Spaces ranges from $95 to $255 depending on the size, type and location in Courthouse Park. Some non-profit spots are available for $25. These are limited to clubs and church groups. Spaces do not include tables or chairs. You must provide a complete booth setup. Again this year, vendors will be allowed to setup and begin selling a day earlier. Smith said the charge for early setup (before 6pm Friday night) will be $25. Since the carnival plans to open a day earlier, there will be activities again this year on Friday. For a vendor application and rules you can download the form on our website at demingduckrace.com, or you can call (888) 345-1125 and an application can be mailed or faxed. Spaces are first come, first serve, so get your application in as soon as possible to assure your spot. For more information you can contact Smith at (505) 494-1002 or (505) 546-5216. The Great American Duck Race is a weekend festival featuring numerous events including a Duck Royalty Pageant, Tournament of Ducks Parade, Hot Air Balloon, Green Chile Cookoff, Tortilla Toss and duck races on both a wet and dry track. The Duck Race is sponsored in part by Border Foods, Inc..
