Balloon Concessions

(Deming)-- Bring you own food to the Chino Federal Credit Union Great American Duck 
Race Hot Air Balloon Assension on Sunday, August 23rd.
   The Luna County Soccer League was to provide concessions for the Balloon events, but
organizers have been advised by Alice Wertz with the Soccer League, that the group
will not be available on Sunday "due to a scheduling conflict".
   At this time the Soccer League WILL still provide food on Saturday morning and 
Saturday night, August 22nd, for the Assension and Balloon Glow.
   Balloon Quacker Glenna Damstra said "we regret any inconvenience this may cause".
   Damstra said the Duck Race will research the possiblity that one of the park's
vendors or a local fast food restaurant with a suitable trailer might want to provide 
the refreshments next year since the Soccer League is unable to provide the concessions 
for the many locals and visitors that come to the rally.
   Mass Assensions are scheduled for both Saturday and Sunday mornings at about 7 am,
with the Balloon Glow Saturday night at about 8 pm.  All balloon events are weather
permitting.
   Damstra also thanked our Balloon Event Sponsor Chino Federal Credit Union.  "It 
takes a lot of hard work and money to put on an event like this, and we thank them
for their support".
   The Great American Duck Race is August 20-23rd, and is sponsored in part by
Luna Energy FAcility.
