GADR Sponsor Party to feature live entertainment For Immediate Release 8/5/2011 Contact: Dave Johnson/Publicity Quacker 575 694-4873 dave@demingduckrace.com (Deming)-- This year's Great American Duck Race Sponsor Party will not only feature great food for the many businesses that have helped sponsor this year's event, but also a live band and dance. The Apache Homelands Casino Sponsor Party will be Friday night, August 26th. Dinner will be catered by La Fonda, and feature three meats, three vegetables, salad, bread and your choice of coffee, tea or lemonade. Baca's Funeral Chapels will supply a dessert bar. The dinner begins at 6:30 pm, and you must have a ticket to attend. Dinner will be followed by introductions of balloonists and their sponsors, and other announcements. At about 8 pm, sponsors can enjoy a dance featuring the Yarbrough Band. The Yarbrough Band is a family band that has been playing music all around New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, and Arizona for the past five years. They are from Las Cruces and enjoy playing Honky Tonk Country dance music mixed with some classic Rock N’ Roll. The band consists of Jacy Yarbrough on Vocals and fiddle, Milagros Guillen also on fiddle and vocals, Dawson Yarbrough on lead guitar and vocals, Jason Yarbrough on bass and vocals, and Mike Heath on the drums. The Sponsor Party this year is being underwritten by Event Sponsor, Apache Homelands Casino. The Great American Duck Race starts on Thursday, August 25th with the Royalty Pageant at the Public Schools Auditorium, and continues through Sunday, August 28th.
